Adding a photo to your company profile will increase credibility and the chance that potential clients will choose you.
Potential clients like to know the people they are dealing with. As a result, it’s important to have staff members in the profile picture. Having a great company profile photo increases the level of trust you build with potential clients, increasing the chance of generating a request.
We have set up some guidelines and tips for creating the right company profile photo.
Guidelines:
The photo should visually represent your company. This means that the photo:
- should show at least one person from the company (for example the owner or your entire team)
- should not show any clients (for privacy reasons)
- should not show only scenery, safari animals or your vehicles (the photo should include the people who run your company)
- may not include a website address, email, other contact details, text or graphic overlay (such as a logo)
- should include a caption that indicates who is in the photo (the owner, director, your team, your tour guide etc.)
- should be in landscape mode, JPG format, min 1000x500px and max 8MB. Alternatively, you can email your photo in any size or file type to logo@safaribookings.com and we will add it for you.
Further tips
- Use a DSLR camera or a high-end phone with a good camera.
- A good setting would be to photograph the owner(s) or team in front of a safari vehicle, in or in front of your office or in a nice outdoor setting.
- It works best if everyone wears the same outfit, looks towards the camera, has a smile on their face, and does not wear sunglasses.
- If someone wears a (safari) hat, please make sure it does not cast a strong shadow over the face.
- Avoid a photo shoot pose that is too informal as it will make your company look less professional or trustworthy.
- For outdoor photos, avoid times of the day when the sunlight is too strong or days that are heavily clouded.
- For indoor photos, please make sure that the setting, backdrop, and lighting allow for a professional-looking photo.
- The best, but more expensive option, would be to hire a professional photographer.

How to add a company photo
1. Navigate to your company dashboard.
2. Click on the 'Edit' button next to your company profile link to go to your company profile settings, or access it by opening the following link: https://operators.safaribookings.com/company/edit.
3. Scroll down to 'Photo' or click 'Logo/Photo'.
4. Here, you can upload your company profile photo. Don't forget to add an accurate caption to your company profile photo too!
