About the 'Best Seller' and 'Top Rated Operator' Labels

  • Updated

To help travelers quickly identify top choices, SafariBookings highlights tours using two recommendation labels.

'Best Seller' label

This label is awarded to tours that receive more quote requests than others. Only tours that have obtained a minimum number of requests qualify. If more than two tours are eligible on a page, only the two that have received the most quote requests will be given the label. That way we keep the label meaningful. This also means a tour might appear as a Best Seller in one set of results but not in another.

'Top Rated Operator' label

This label is given to tours offered by the top 50 highest-rated tour operators on SafariBookings.com. To earn this label, operators must meet our strict criteria for a minimum average rating and number of reviews. Specifically:

  • The highest number of reviews (compared to other tour operators)

  • The highest average review score (compared to other tour operators)

  • At least 5 reviews in the last 365 days

Earning the 'Best Seller' and 'Top Rated Operator' labels

While it may seem important to obtain the recommendation labels as much as possible, we do not recommend that tour operators work towards getting these labels as a goal on its own. Rather, we recommend focusing on improving your performance on SafariBookings as much as possible through receiving quality reviews, uploading and maintaining many well-performing tours, and converting quote requests into bookings. Focusing on these things will result in a better performance on SafariBookings while simultaneously increasing your odds of receiving the recommendation labels on more search results.
